Solutions is flexible because it can be tailored to meet the Customers own requirements and circumstances. Deposits can start from as little as the equivalent of one payment in advance.  A choice can be made between either a two or three year contract and variable maximum contract mileages. the key to Solutions is to match the monthly repayment to your motoring budget. This is achieved by setting aside a final payment, which is a proportion of the car's present value at the start date of the contract, which becomes payable at the end of the contract.

The Customer has three options at the end of the contract:

• All or part of the difference, if any, between the final payment value and the 'trade-in value' of the car can be used towards the deposit on the next new car
• The final payment (including the option to purchase fee) can be paid and the customer simply keeps the existing car.
• You the Customer, can decide to hand back the car to any Volkswagan Retailer and providing all the obligations of your agreement have been met, you will have nothing else to pay.

Contract Hire is frequently the first vehicle financing choice for businesses.

Current UK tax legislation also helps to keep Contract Hire costs lower.Businesses may be able to reclaim up to 50% of the VAT payable on the monthly rentals if for registered business users with a proportion of private mileage useage.

Additionally the full VAT on the service/maintenance element (if taken) may be recoverable in full.

Contract Hire is available on 12 to 48 month terms.The level of the monthly repayments is calculated according to

Hire Purchase is the traditional way of buying a new car and is one of the simplest methods of finance and still offers flexibility. Firstly the Customer can decide on the amount for the deposit, plus the length of the agrreement that meets their own requirements.

This will establsh a payment pattern that suits the individuals need and at the end of the agreement when all payments have been made including the 'option to purchase fee' - the car belongs to the Business or individual Customer.

Lease Purchase is a hire purchase agreement but with features specifically designed for the business user market. By balancing the deposit, the agreement length and final payment until the end of the Contract, a Customer has the opportunity to match the monthly payment to the available budget.

The interest element of the monthly payment may be allowable against tax and a Customer may be able to claim writing down allowances.

If the particular business is not VAT registered, then lease purchase can be an attractive option.

This is categorised as a 'Purchase product' and as such under current taxation legislation it is regarded differently to 'leasing or use only contracts' the Customer may benefit from certain tax advantages.

In all such cases, the Customer should ask their financial or tax advisor whether this applies.
